EOS R5 How to only upload jpg files to image.canon cloud when recording both RAW and JPG

I have my R5 set record RAW and JPG to separate cards and it is also set to auto upload to the canon cloud over WiFi. It is uploading the RAW files but it takes a long time and I would like it to only upload the JPG files. Is there a way to do that while still recording both RAW and JPG?

I have the same issue. I am shooting RAW + medium JPEG on separate SD's. I want to automatically upload JPEGs to image.canon (or preferably flickr) so that my client can access images immediately, while I shoot.

For example, i am shooting a sport event and carry my mobile wifi router with me. Client can quickly access medium quality jpegs for social media uploads without me having to send them manually. After the event I download my RAWs and work on them to deliver post processed high quality images. Any idea how to do it?

Hi together,

now 3 years later i have the same problem. Configured to upload only jpg (and have to set HEIF, because second entry is not possible to disable (Heif;Raw,both)) and it is still uploading Raw! Firmware is actual v2.1.0.

2nd point: it is not configureable to reduce jpg size like ftp server upload, so i have to reduce size for saving on the memory card.

that makes canon.image nearly useless, because waste of time, akku power and web space. The most anoying part is, that the problem is unsolved over 3 years now.

This is a 3 yr old topic started by another user. Please consider starting your own topic so your issue gets the visibility it deserves.

The image.canon service is not a post processing editor, nor is it meant to hold images indefinitely. You are free to manipulate the images as desired after transfer to a destination, or reduce the size as you have done on the camera. The software allows you to sort by image type:

The second link demonstrates how to create a sorting rule:

As you are aware, Images are retained for 30 days (temporarily), so you need to create a destination like your PC or file sharing application (OneDrive, Google Photos, DropBox, etc). Then you can edit your images.

If you would like to make a feature request, you can do so by visiting Canon USA (Canon Homepage | Canon U.S.A., Inc.), click the [+]Feedback link in the upper right-hand corner, then select product.

You can also use the Canon Connect App for .jpg's and transfer them to a destination of your choice. The CC App also allows images to be automatically reduced when transferred to a mobile device.

Thanks for quick reply, but it takes 10 minutes to upload 1 pic (40mb raw + 13mb jpg) to image.canon, over wifi6 and 50Mbit upload. that is not usable at fixed internet acoount nor on mobile phone.

which devices are you using because if that was anywhere close to normal, image.canon wouldn't be offered as an option to professionals.

Canon R5 directly beside the Fritz Box 6591 connected by Wifi. Full upload speed available.
