SLR for a phone

I love Canon cameras and bought several for our students when I taught at the university level.

I am long since retired, but would like to put a challenge to you:

Make an SLR camera for a phone. One that snaps the shot instantly and one you look through the lens - not at a screen.

Have you ever tried to take a shot outside looking at your screen and totally missed it because you can't see what's on the screen due to the harsh outside light?
Have you ever tried to snap a sports photo but the shot was already gone by the time the shutter reacted.
Have you ever watched stupid videos on Facebook of people who also could not see through the screen what they were viewing and all you see is a jumbled mass of movement with no rhyme or reason as to what was going on in the video?
If you can't develop your own phone with an SLR camera, try to develop one you could get copyrighted so the technology could be used on all phones.

If you can't develop one for a phone, why not a miniature size SLR. As I have gotten older, I don't want to carry around heavy equipment but I would like to take great images. Something I could carry in my purse or pocket all the time. Something affordable. Most of us don't need such huge files the current cameras create.

A phone SLR would be ideal though, since we all have our phones with us at all times.

I LOVE Canon cameras! You build a great camera. It is all I will use.
