Canon R6m2 approximately 1.5 yes. Old used with an rf 24-105 f4 and various ef lenses. Twice the camera was powered on, and non image in the rear screen. Using the review button did nothing. So no image of live or reviewed images. I snapped the shutter and an image was taken but no review. Used the stock rf lens. Took another same result no image. Thought maybe just a glitch as taking the battery out caused normal functionality. Maybe 3rd party battery. The next occurrence happened again but with a Canon battery only a couple years old. No review and no image upon powering on and for a couple shots Afterwards until removing the battery. It's random but it's there. No settings were changed. Viewfinder failure?

Greetings,

Have you tried pressing the info button when the behavior occurs?

What might cause this behavior.

Incorrect / conflicting camera settings

Using 3rd party batteries, adapter or other accessories.

Issue with media card, not freshly formatted in camera, not full size, non authentic. Swapping cards between different body's, etc.

Perform the following troubleshooting steps:

Use known quality OEM batteries

Use Canon RF lenses (while troubleshooting)

Use media cards of known quality, class and speed rating. Format in camera before use.

Check to be sure the proximity sensor near the viewfinder is not obstructed

Perform a full settings reset of main and custom settings. This will rule out any issues with the settings or configuration. Even if "no changes" were made.

sorry for the late reply and thank you for yours. Info button, cards, oem battery, good sd cards, fully charged battery, viewfinder sensor not covered and if it was there should still be an image review on the screen. Nothing unusual and no new settings introduced. when it happened the 2nd and 3rd times i made sure i didnt do anything as i recognized the symptom immediately. It happens for a few shots, 3 or so, and either returned to normal, or i had to power down and remove the battery. Now i used the camera 2 weekends ago for a birthday party for about 350 shots and it didn't happen once. I am keeping an eye out for it in the future. It still takes the image you just cant review it in the viewfinder of the screen. Good thing i learned on film!!

I am experiencing the exact same problem with my R7...less than two years old. I've tried all the suggestions too. And it is also an intermittent occurrence ...just enough to be annoying. Wondering if you ever discovered a solution or reason...or if it is still happening with your camera.
