As long as you are careful to prevent condensation when bringing it in out of the cold, it should work fine. As you can see from the recent pictures posted here

https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/Share-Your-Photos/Tell-me-it-s-cold-outside-without-saying-it-s-cold-outside/td-p/524402

They work fine in just-below-freezing temperatures.

EOS R100 + Lens in Below Freezing Temps?

Hi. I'm a beginner in using good quality cameras, and I'm striving to get into astrophotography more, but I'm concerned about going outside at night to take moon and sky photos in the winter when it's below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

It's an EOS R100 Mirrorless Camera, equipped with an RF100-400mm F5.6-I IS USM Telephoto Zoom Lens. Will the camera and this lens be okay and not be damaged in below freezing temperatures on their own, or is there something I should do to protect them while shooting in below freezing weather? I'm not talking anything crazy like -20 degrees F. I'd likely be out in 30 thru 24 degrees F.
