Hello! I currently have the Canon Eos M6. It does not take pictures even when I press the shutter button. Once I press the shutter button, it goes black then takes me back to the start. But it can take videos. What do I do? :((

Hello bluerrhsks,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with your camera. It sounds like it could be an issue with autofocus perhaps. When the camera/lens are unable to AF properly, the camera will not release the shutter. You may want to try cleaning the contacts on the camera and lens especially, with a clean, dry, microfiber cloth to ensure good communication between them. I would recommend starting with that. I would also suggest removing any lens filter that may be attached to the front of the lens since certain lens filters may sometimes interfere with the camera's auto focusing system. Does your camera work properly with other lenses?
