When paired with my RF 400 f2.8 in video mode. I’m get hunting and focusing noises on my audio when the camera is tracking and changing myoneonta edu focus. I never had this with the R5. I’ve tried changing the ibis settings on lens and camera but no joy. Any thoughts, anyone else experienced these noises when filming?

Thank you 🙂

Hello!

It sounds like you're experiencing a frustrating issue with your Canon R5 M2 and RF 400 f2.8 lens. This problem seems to be specific to the R5 M2, as you didn't encounter it with the original R5. Since changing the IBIS settings didn't help, you might want to try updating the firmware for both the camera and the lens, if you haven't already. Additionally, checking the Canon Community forums or reaching out to Canon support could provide further insights or solutions from other users who might have faced similar issues.

Greetings,

What subjects are you taking videos of? What conditions are you shooting under?

You can also try adjusting the recording level [Internal Microphone] by changing the setting from Auto to Manual and adjusting the gain/level. It may not eliminate it but could reduce it.
