You cannot assign that function to any other button.

Check this section of the manual, when you find the function you will see that it cannot be assigned to other buttons.

EOS R5 Mark II How to assign additional functions to AF-ON button

On the Cannon EOS R5 Marl II, I want to set up “Back Button Focus” so the “Shutter Button half-press” is set to “Metering start” and the “AF-ON” Button is set to “Moving AF pt, meter., AF by eye ctrl.” I don’t want the Shutter Button to activate AF when pressed.

How to set the “Shutter Button half-press” to “Metering start” is clear to me. It is not clear to me exactly how to set the “AF-ON” Button to perform the other functions normally performed by “Shutter Button half-press.”

Any advice is appreciated.
