New EOS R6 Mark II rattles

I just got my new mirrorless yesterday. First mirrorless camera and am excited to use it. However, when I took it out of the box I heard a little rattle-like noise. So gently shaking the camera body I can hear something that sounds like a plastic part moving back and forth in a loose fitting frame. Is that normal?

That's the IBIS, and it is normal. I found that out on mine after a mild panic attack - lol.

The rattle is normal. It goes away once you install a lens and turn on the camera. When you turn the camera off with a lens attached there isn’t any rattle.

Be sure to always turn the camera off when you install or remove a lens.

I agree with the previous comments, that’s the IBIS . I own the same camera and it’s not an issue especially once the camera is powered on with a lens. I believe the user manual also mentions this.

Well, yes and no.

If you have IBIS turned on with the lens attached and power on, you'll still hear the rattle.

If you have the IBIS turned off when a lens is attached and the power is on (I normally have IBIS off)... I still hear the rattle.

The rattling doesn’t stop even though I’m using my RF16 mm. Is there anything I need to check on? Already changed the body twice from Best Buy 😥
