Cannon 5d mk III, single capture was saved to the CF card (Lexar Pro 16GB) as two separate images., 3rd image on the card for that day, card is 6 months in use. Both images included with this post. camera is new, sub-2,000 captures.

Any thoughts as to a cause? I have posted the same message to Lexar support to cover my bases.

Try the cheap things first. Reset the camera. Format the CF card with the camera. Not a computer, never do that.

Different CF card.

It looks like the problem is with the card try reformattng the card in the camera. Also I would try another CF card (Lexar Pros) are very good cards, and sometimes they do fail
