SL2 - No Beep On Focus

Hello, I've had my SL2 for 2 years now and while I was looking through the manual last week I discovered that it was supposed to beep when focus was achieved. My SL2 has never done this. The Beep is Enabled in the settings menu.

It does beep at other times, like when I activate the menu and start moving from screen to screen in the menu. It just does not beep on focus. I've tried different lenses and no difference - no beep on focus. I do get the other indicators in the viewfinder that it's focused, just no beep.

Is there some other menu setting that may be affecting the beep on focus?

Have you tried resetting the camera to its defaults through the settings menu yet?

Also with it set to AI Servo AF the beeper will not work

It's set to One Shot.
