Do you mean EOS R100. The EOS M series has been discontinued by Canon. You can contact Canon to see if they still repair it. You can get another lens for the EOS R100.

Poor image quality from EOS M50 and EOS 100

Hi I use the Canon EOS M50 as a tool paired with the Katapult data logging system for utility line surveying. My company has gone through hundreds of these cameras and I have gone through at least 6 if not more! Apparently they are trash after so many photos being taken and let's not bother getting into the picture quality!! Now that my latest M50 has failed and I've only had it a few months they gave me our new EOS 100 paired with the canon 24-105 lens which now makes my job impossible to perform!! I now have lost the ability to take photos at a reasonable distance to capture the complete subject!! I need to go back to the M50 but do not understand why they are more than 10-20 dollars for one because the quality is astonishingly horrible!! Is there a way to fix the M50 myself or is there a way to get the EOS100 to take a picture of a subject and still be in the same zip code??? I have a task I need to complete at work and would need to have this fixed or another M50 by this Monday!!

What lens did you use on the EOS M50, the precise model would help so we can recommend a similar one for the EOS R100.

As Brian says,it's important we know the lens model used on the M50

Illicit,

Just to be clear, the EOS 100 is a film camera. Does your camera use film, or is it digital?

If it is digital, you are probably talking about an R100. While the R100 is not the top of the line, I don't think they take "horrible" pictures per se.Can you explain exactly what you are trying to take pictures of?

And, are these cameras being supplied by the company, or are you expected to buy your own?

If the company is going through hundreds of cameras every couple of months, they are probably buying them in bulk, and who knows where they are getting them from.

This answer will not get to you before Monday, so there is no way you can get yours fixed before then. I'd say, take what they can give you now for your emergency project, and then take your time researching a new camera that will meet your needs.

Are you allowed to use a personal camera that you buy yourself?
