Make sure it’s set to AF and retest the camera outside on a bright sunny day. With the top mode dial set to Full Auto (Green Square, A+, CA). Then see if the pictures are in focus. Low light will cause the camera to use a longer shutter speed. It was my husbands before he died, and my teenage daughter has shown an interest in photograph so we gave it to her. She has been bring it to school and not being the most careful, but the lens doesn’t look to be damage. The photos are just blurry and unfocused unlike before.
