Hi again everyone
I apologise for my lack of necessary info in my post regarding the 5D and R6. I want your guys opinion on what the best of the 2 for a choice for me to purchase. I currently own a 600D and i want to up my photograghy as for photo quality and also to go into professional photography. I currently photograph wildlife, sports and trains but really, i photogragh anything including the odd birthday or event. my budget would be about 4k dollars [NZD] for a purchase of a camera.......if people have a different camera suggestion for me to look into instead, hit me with them [Not too hard please....] 😁. If the R series is a big suggestion from you guys, Would my EF 70 to 300 USM ll IS lens go well with a EF to R adapter? or am I better to look into a RF lens https://100001.onl/ ?

Greetings,

You will definitely want to look into an R series body over a 5D mkIV If possible. You can use your EF70-300 USM II on a R aeries body with a Canon adapter. See the link below for examples.

Castles Germany- Rhine River

Given the type of photography you enjoy, take a look at the R6 mkII. It's about $500 more than the R6 mkI, but that extra cost is well worth the price because of the feature enhancements you get between the two cameras. Ultimately you will want to purchase RF lenses, but in the meantime an adapter can help get you by. You will not want to use lenses intended for a crop sensor camera as this will reduce the resolution you're capturing dramatically.

The R6 mkII excels in autofocus, subject tracking and low light capability. I might pair it with an RF24-70 f4-7.1. It along with your 70-300 would be a great start in mirrorless.
