Greetings yosechris,

You may attempt to use your local wireless router for the camera to connect to instead of it working as an access point that your computer would connect to. This would allow for both devices to be connected to the same access point / router which would also provide internet access to your computer.

The other option is to connect the computer to the camera's access point, and then to use a hard-wired connection from the computer to the router, like an ethernet cable.

Hello,

I've run into an issue that I hope is relatively easy to overcome. I have paired my EOS 90D to my MacBook Pro (Sonoma) successfully using Webcam Utility Software. The problem is that this is over WIFI and the computer is connected to the cameras wifi. As such, I am no longer connected to the internet.

How do I wirelessly connect to the camera AND use the camera as a webcam with internet at the same time? I'm going in circles reconnecting and disconnecting the camera to the computer but don't appear to be getting anywhere. Please, somebody, do you know what step I have missed?

Thank you for the reply. I have hardwired the computer to the internet so I can use WIFI for the camera. However, there is now a massive delay in the feed from the canon camera. I'm getting maybe 1 or 2 FPS and it's just not a professional quality feed at all. Changing to output from 20 to 30 FPS or the quality of the feed (which I would prefer to be high, hence using the canon camera) does not make a difference.

Quality of feed is the same whether I used Zoom or Quicktime. What do you think I can do to solve this issue?

I would LOVE to hardwire the camera into the computer with HDMI, but the camera just does not get recognized at all by the software. Is there a workaround for this????
