Getting at software on the Canon support page is by default set to Windows. You will need to flip a couple menu choices to get to support for Mac. I will attempt to be thorough but I'm sure I will miss something, not a Mac person.

All the camera support pages are set up pretty much the same. Go to Canon USA and navigate to the mirrorless camera you own, launch your camera from the choices. Once the page opens navigate to the links under the image and hit the support link on the right lower portion of the page (red arrow on pic below)

Once the next page loads scroll down until you see these links. Select software and drivers.

Here is where you have to change some menu options. Operating system on the left, select Mac, version of operating system on the right. I don't use Mac but there is a link to assist with identifying your version. If the DPP editing software is available for your version it will be listed below. You can also filter your download choices further by using the Download Type: link located just below the Operating System menu, by default it is set to all.

I hope this helps.

Not a Mac user but i see there are several posts here about connection problems with the EOS utility. If you do have that issue there's always the backup option of uploading from the card directly (card reader etc)

You are indeed correct, there are several reports here that there are problems connecting cameras to EOS Utility on a Mac that is running the latest Mac OS. I'm using several Mac computers myself and have "several" EOS R-series cameras, they all work with cable and wifi but I am still running Mac OS Sonoma 14.7 on them.

I fully expect that Canon / Apple will come up with a working solution for the current Mac OS.

Apple Image Capture (provided software) can be used to download from camera via cable.
