Hi CanonGrl214

I have believe I recently experienced /am still experiencing the same problem.
I have also realized that it has nothing to do with the viewfinder sensor. Have you maybe encountered or came across a solution to this problem?

Hi — I recently just purchased the canon EOS RP camera and I am wondering why in the middle of lining up a shot does the screen just randomly turn off/go black. It'll turn back in after a few seconds but then does the same thing (go black) a short while later. Is this normal?

I wonder if you're accidentally tripping the viewfinder sensor? See page 32 in the User Manual for its location (just to the right of the eyepiece).

A bit late to reply but at least others will have an answer.

simply go to the menu under the wrench, option 2 and set Eco mode to off
