topic EOS R7 Question about zoom capabilities in EOS DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras

Please i am asking for a Canon Camera EOS R7 (APS-C), i believe this Camera can be used for zooming a very far distance. I am asking for someone who lives in the USA, wants to get this to start a wildlife Camera shoot in the forest, so he can be able to zoom a bird clearly from a long distance. Someone recommended that model, i need to confirm if that can do it or if there is any recommendations with a high megapixels.

The ability to zoom a far distance is a function of the *lens*, not the camera. Any interchangeable lens camera can "zoom a far distance".

That said, Ken Rockwell (https://kenrockwell.com/canon/eos-r/r7.htm) says that it is good for this because of the high pixel density and APS-C frame.

Caveats: In good light, like the surfing pictures Rockwell shows, it would be excellent. But the high pixel density comes at a cost of relatively poor sensitivity in low light.

So, any DSLR with a telephoto lens can "zoom a far distance", you just need a lens with a 500mm+ focal length. The smaller sensor does get you a bit more magnification, but you just need to pay a bit more to get 1.6x more lens for a full size sensor.
