EOS R6 Mark II firmware update ideas

Hi, would it be possible to get more options in a firmware update to make this even more useful? Some ideas:

Drive mode

Silent shutter/shutter mode

RAW burst mode

Above all, I think being able to recall a Drive Mode would be incredibly useful.

Some of what you ask might be possible, but others could be more challenging. Currently RAW burst mode is automatically cancelled when the camera is powered off, so it might not be so simple to have this element on the register recall shooting settings.

Your other choices are already possible with the use of custom shooting modes C1-C3 if needed. Silent shutter mode and RAW burst can individually be assigned to various buttons on the camera too.

@p4pictures wrote:

Currently RAW burst mode is automatically cancelled when the camera is powered off

Yes, I did notice this as well - perfectly understandable that the RAW burst feature was to be refined in the R5 II

@p4pictures wrote:
Your other choices are already possible with the use of custom shooting modes C1-C3 if needed. Silent shutter mode and RAW burst can individually be assigned to various buttons on the camera too.

I do have buttons set up to toggle silent shutter and open the RAW burst settings, and I find in practice that the two are often turned on or off together. If I'm not mistaken, an issue with using C1-C3 is that RAW burst is automatically cancelled when turning the mode dial as well.

But at a minimum, it'd be very useful to have Drive Mode in there, which I surmise may incidentally be the easiest to implement as well for Canon's firmware developers. A common use case example would be to instantly switch from Tv 1/1600s H+ to Tv 1/800s Low-speed continuous shooting for celebration/reaction photos immediately after scoring a goal.
