T8i sound not working

Hello! My canon T8i is about 2 years old, gently used. Sound has suddenly stopped working. I’m referring to all the sounds, from the beeps to the playback audio.

-It’s not on mute and volume is all the way up

-I have reset it to factory settings and hasn’t helped

-It is recording audio just fine, I can hear recordings perfectly on my computer

-Bluetooth and wifi have been turned off so camera is not connected to any other devices

Camera has not fell or anything like that, so I find this very strange and couldn’t find any information anywhere ☹️☹️ Has anyone else have this issue?

I looked all over, and couldn't find anything that might address your problem.

The only thing I can think of is that a wire to your camera's speaker broke.

I would recommend against disassembly or taking your camera apart. The best/safest thing to do would be to contact Canon.

I would send the camera to them if you determine it needs to be repaired.

Thank you for looking, I checked everywhere as well and couldn’t find anyone with a similar issue. I’m pretty sure it is the wire as well, now I just need to find someone that may be able to fix it.

Thank you. I did contact Canon and their solution was that I ship and pay for 1/3 of the camera’s current value to get it fixed.

I’m not even gonna comment on the outrageous pricing, but the fact that the only solution is that I ship the camera and wait for god knows how long, when my camera something I rely on for work, is very disappointing.
