EOS M50 no picture on screen or in viewfinder

When I turn on my EOS M50 camera there is no picture visible on the screen or in the viewfinder. The screen is on, infos are displayed, but the rest of the screen is black. The viewfinder is also black. When I try to take a picture, a red rectangle appear on screen, and a red light flashes in the right front side of the camera, but nothing else happens.

This problem appeared after trying to take a picture using a built-in flash. All settings are restored to factory settings.

Sorry to hear that you’re having issues. What shooting modes are you using? I suggest using the green [A+] mode outdoors on a sunny day. If the issues persist, then your camera most likely needs to be repaired or replaced.
