In this case (R5 mark II), "Standard" is the default. I don't recall which, but some of my DSLR's, probably Rebels, denote default settings by highlighting them so you could easily return that particular setting to default without a total reset.

I have all of my dual card cameras set to "Rec. to multiple". I do own the R5 II, so just I double checked 🙂

I changed one of my menu options to test out the feature, but I cannot remember what I changed it from. I looked at the online manual. How do I figure out which option is the default factory setting?

Here’s an example from the online guide. What does the blue color represent? Factory default or current selection?

In some cameras and for some settings when you change a setting from the default the menu item changes colour or you get asterisk to indicate a setting - usually one of a group - has been changed.

To be a little more precise it would help to know the camera model and the setting you changed?

Of course the extreme option is to do a complete reset to factory settings and then you will have the default values for everything. Though this becomes less attractive with most cameras except EOS R5, EOS R5 Mk2, EOS R3 and EOS R1 which can backup the camera configuration to a card.

I don't consider that to be an 'extreme" option especially since your were exploring and not making a firm set up. It is a get out of jail free card and most helpful for the person that is learning.

Hi, I just received my R5 mark ii yesterday and have been going through the menu options today. The option you show is indeed the factory default for "Rec Options" = Standard. Whichever option within that category you change it to will become green/turquoise once you select it by moving the gold frame and then pressing "SET/OK". But on the "Record func+card/folder sel." menu page, the selections will all be in white type. I hope that helps.
