Both are good cameras. You can find a detailed comparison between those two cameras here:

https://cameradecision.com/compare/Canon-EOS-R10-vs-Canon-EOS-RP

If you own some EF-S lenses and planning to keep the 6D as your secondary camera then the R10 makes more sense for your case. That together with the fact that the R10 has a newer processor Digic X which includes vehicule detection makes me believe that the R10 will work better for you.

Now, if what you want is to switch to a full frame camera then you may find that for $100 mores you can buy a refurbished R8 from Canon which includes Canon warranty.

https://www.usa.canon.com/shop/p/refurbished-eos-r8?color=Black&type=Refurbished

The R8 is superior to the R10 and the RP.

Hello everyone!

I’ve been using my 6D for a few years now… I shoot mainly automotive stuff as a hobby but recently I’ve been doing some paid jobs and I’m starting to get a bit worried about my 6D going kaput mid shoot because it’s getting pretty old and shutter count is at 400k…

Right now I can buy a R10 or RP for basically the same price.

Normally I would go for the RP since it is full frame but because I intend to keep the 6D as a secondary camera, I’m considering the R10 mainly because of the AI autofocus that now detects vehicles (I struggle quite a bit with my 6D and moving vehicles) and the 4k at 60fps because I do want to start playing around video…

What should I do?
