      <description>&lt;P&gt;That's a great video and a cautionary lesson about the myth of cameras being waterproof.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;"Weather sealed" does &lt;EM&gt;not&lt;/EM&gt; mean &lt;EM&gt;waterproof&lt;/EM&gt;, despite may people's expectations.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Weather is such things as wind-blown dust and perhaps &lt;EM&gt;light&lt;/EM&gt; rain, but not being absolutely soaked or&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;EM&gt;immersed&lt;/EM&gt; in water - that is the space for a 'Tough Camera" that is fully sealed and has an under water rating.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Also, the amount of weather sealing can be completely degraded by putting on a non-sealed lens.&amp;nbsp; The biggest hole for ingress of water is the lens mount, so having a sealed lens is absolutely critical.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Canon also says a "weather-sealed" lens must have a filter mounted to be weather-sealed. There's no weather-sealing around the front lens element.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
