      <description>&lt;P&gt;First, read up on sophisticated yet wonderful AF system of the 5D mkIII in your manual.&amp;nbsp; Read chapter 3 and become familiar with which AF group your lens will fall into. &amp;nbsp; Also go to &lt;FONT color="#0000FF"&gt;&lt;A target="_self" href="http://learn.usa.canon.com/resources/products/eos_5d_markiii/eos_5d_markiii.shtml?categoryId=14"&gt;&lt;FONT color="#0000FF"&gt;Canon's Learning Center&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt; and watch the &lt;FONT color="#0000FF"&gt;&lt;A target="_self" href="http://learn.usa.canon.com/resources/products/eos_5d_markiii/5d_mark_iii_on_camera_tutorials_resource_list.shtml"&gt;&lt;FONT color="#0000FF"&gt;AF videos&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To get things rolling start with these settings:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- AI Servo mode&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- AF Zone then try AF Expansion&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- AF Case 1, then maybe try AF Case 2&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- TV or M mode (may need some exposure comp with TV for birds in flight)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The 5D III's AF system can be highly configurable.&amp;nbsp; Be patient, keep things simple, practice and experiment.&amp;nbsp; When you are ready to experiment start &lt;FONT color="#0000FF"&gt;&lt;A target="_self" href="http://learn.usa.canon.com/resources/articles/2011/1dx_af_config_article.shtml"&gt;&lt;FONT color="#0000FF"&gt;here&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I must admit I've shot a fair amount&amp;nbsp; of action on my 7D but still experimenting with my 5D III.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Good luck, have fun, and share with us what you learn&lt;/P&gt;</description>
