How to display the EOS R5 Mark II screen during a Zoom meeting.

I need to demonstrate the multiple exposure feature of my R5 II during a Zoom meeting. What do I need to display the camera's screen in a window on my Windows 11 PC? Thanks.

Just to clarify... are you using the R5II as the main zoom camera, or are you using another camera to do this?

I often share the display screen of a variety of EOS cameras over zoom when doing remote training sessions for photographers. What I use is a Blackmagic Design ATEM mini pro.

Simple option A:

However, if your requirement is a little more simple and not something to be done often, you might want to try a HDMI capture device like an Elgato camlink, there are several that plug in to a computer and provide a HDMI input. This then works with an app on the computer to show what is connected to the HDMI input, in your case the camera you want to demonstrate. In zoom when you want to show the camera settings simply share your screen with the app running.

Using ATEM option B

The ATEM mini has multiple HDMi inputs so I connect a camera to one input to be my webcam, and the camera to demonstrate to one of the other inputs. Then I connect the ATEM USB-C connection to my computer. The ATEM is working as the webcam input in this setup so you need to select it in zoom. Then while on the call you press the buttons on the ATEM to switch between the camera feed and the training camera feed. The ATEM can even do picture in picture so you can have a small window with your face overlaid over the camera menu displays.

I also use the ATEM for in-person training sessions, but on that case I feed the ATEM hdmi output to the projector, and use the inputs for a computer with the presentation and the camera I need to explain live.

Thanks for the detailed reply. This will be a one-time use so I want to do it as inexpensively as possible so an HDMI capture device sounds like the right choice. Can you recommend software, preferably open source, to display the input from the capture device? Thanks.

Most of the HDMI to USB capture devices either come with software or don’t need drivers and present themselves as another camera input. In such case you should just be able to change the camera being used by zoom to the capture card device and that will then show the camera lcd.
