Cant Register EOS RP Bought From Best Buy

I bought a Eos RP from best buy in store and keep getting these errors

1) The serial number does not match the product you have selected (FCC ID which starts with “AZD” is often mistaken for serial number.)
2) The serial number entered indicates this product was not intended for sale in the United States and is ineligible for registration and support in the U.S.

Any help is appreciated

Yes. I didn’t have a problem registering the lens I bought just the camera

Return it for a full refund. Don;t tell teem why, either. If they ask, then tell them it;s too complicated. You seem to have an item that may have been a customer return. You have a grey market camera. Someone probably bought a grey market camera and ran into your same issue. So, they bought another from Best Buy, and returned it.

Does the serial number on the camera match the serial number on the box?

I make all my camera gear purchases through Canon USA Online Store or B&H.

Called customer service turned out their website was acting up an the camera is registered now. But thanks for helping.
