What lens are you using?

I think that f00 message is telling you that the camera doesn't know that a lens is attached and is not electronically communicating with the lens. That usually happens when you are trying to use a lens that has a different mount than your camera.

If you are using an EF mount lens, try detaching it, and then re-attaching it.

It can also happen if the lens isn't mounted properly. I can't count how many times I've spoken with people who were afraid they would break the camera or lens, so they didn't twist the lens until it locked into place.
