      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I'm using my &lt;STRONG&gt;ipad&lt;/STRONG&gt; as an external monitor for my EOS R using the mini HDMI port of the camera and a&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;SeeMo iOS/HDMI Smartphone Adapter&lt;/STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;. When I do this, I get LiveView on my &lt;STRONG&gt;ipad&lt;/STRONG&gt; . but the screen on my camera shuts off&amp;nbsp; and so my only display is through my &lt;STRONG&gt;ipad&lt;/STRONG&gt;. Is there a way to get both LiveView on my camera's screen&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Try checking your HDMI settings. On my camera, if it is set to HDMI with info, the camera screen will go off.&lt;/P&gt;
