Cannon Rebel on Celestron 8SE, nothing in view finder?

I Have a Rebel SLR cannon that I have put on my Celestron NexStar telescope. I cannot see anything in my viewfinder just a white screen?? 80 years old and need help!!

Which Rebel camera?

What did you use to attach the camera?

Have you tried during the day?

You might need to be at just the right angle, another reason to try during the day.

CANNON EOS XTI. So, I took a picture of my camera screen. Just not sure how to get a view of what the telescope is pointed at? Couple of pics attached.

This camera is too old for live view (Seeing what the sensor sees on the LCD.) You will need to get up close and use the viewfinder.
