&lt;P&gt;I think what you want is the interval timer, or often referred to as time-lapse. Please start on page 289 of your &lt;A href="https://cam.start.canon/en/C013/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Advanced Users Guide&lt;/A&gt;. The PDF version is easily searched for key words, but you will have to download Adobes free PDF viewer, if you don't already have it. Also, some browsers have a PDF extension.&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>Trying to setup Astro photography with an r8</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;So I want to be able to set a delay timer, then have the shutter open for a specific amount of time, and take multiple pictures in a row, like one would for Astro photos. I can’t seem to figure out how to get this all setup on my r8 though. Anyone know?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
