The RF 600 f/11 and RF 800 f/11 both have reduced AF zones that are reduced in size.

Hi all,

Ive been going round and round trying to solve this.

Currently my camera is showing a cropped in box from the edges of the screen and view finder so that my camera isn’t using all of its available screen display to find focus points. It’s working within the cropped box. (See photo)
Any time I change my AF method it just changes withing this box and isn’t using the full screen. I’ve tried factory resetting the camera and re read the many pages of the manual and can’t find a solution.

As ever any help is greatly appreciated.

You’re so right! I’ve been using my 800mm for bird photography recently more than any other lens. I just tried my 100-400mm and it went back to full screen. Not something I knew before hand. Thanks for your help 🙂
