I don't know if this will help. but I ran across a site called, "10 Customization Options for the Canon EOS 90D"

It's part of the Canon EOS 90D for Dummies Series. (I think it's one of the chapters in the book).

About three-quarters (3/4) of the way down the page, there is a section called, "Advanced autofocusing tweaks"

It explains each of the settings in Custom Function II and how to use them, including the first 5 settings you were asking about.
