topic Main dial on EOS 5D IV not working reliably in EOS DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras

Wondering if anyone has experienced a problem with the main dial (by the shutter button) on their 5D IV. I have to really lean it forward while turning it to get any result. Just rotating it makes nothing happen. Anyone else have this issue? Thank you.

Does the 5D Mk IV have a rubber "tire" around the wheel? If it does, the tire could be slipping on the wheel. I had this problem on a 50D and saved it from the scrap heap

If the answer is "Yes", I'll share a simple no-cost fix with you.

Thanks for taking a look, unfortunately it is a toothed wheel - no rubber.
