APS-C versus Full Frame

Started with a Canon AE-1 in the 70's then went to the dark side with the Nikon D70 and have been using a Nikon D700 since 2009. Getting older and wanting to use something with a little less weight. I like to shoot automatic mode. I seldom if ever shoot in manual mode. Done some research on mirrorless cameras and it was recommended to me to look at Canon mirrorless. I have read some of the Canon mirrorless use APS-C and others are full frame. What is the difference between APS-C and full frame? Thanks in advance.

Your Nikon D70 was a cropped camera, and your D700 was a full frame, so you have experience with both.

If you do move to the world of Canon mirrorless, I think you will be amazed at the advances that have taken place in the last couple of years.

Like you, as I get older, weight has become an important factor.
