Canon R5 EVF stuck in portrait

Hi all,

I have a strange issue with my Canon R5 EVF. After changing a battery, the EVF sometimes gets stuck in portrait format. i.e all the settings shown in the EVF have rotated round 90degrees counter clockwise.
exposure compensation meter is on the righthand side with the text sideways. (The back LCD screen is fine).

I’ve switched the camera off, taken the battery out, disconnected the lens in use but nothing seems to reset it.

its almost as if the built in gyro has got stuck…

anyone else experienced this and have a solution?

I switched on the level on the back LCD screen and it’s stuck vertically from 11 o’clock to 5 o’clock position and doesn’t move even if I rotate the camera body.
