EOS 2000D Getting GPS data from smartphone

Is it possible to use the Camera Connect App to get GPS data from a Android Smartphone to 2000D? Or is there any other simple and reliable way?

I do not believe so. The 2000D is not compatible with an external GPS accessory.

The EOS 2000D does support the Canon GP-E2 receiver module. It sits on the camera hotshoe and a cable is connected from the GPS to the camera. When you take a shot the GPS location is added to the metadata in the image file automatically.
