Thanks. Yes I first went to the manual. Was just hoping for a workaround of some sort.

I want to set up my R5 to switch between still and movie with a custom button. I know that I can do this with the M-fn button, but I currently have that button set to “C” - Switch custom shooting modes, and I use that a lot and dont want to change it. It appears that both C and still - movie switching are only available on the M-fn button and nowhere else. Is there a way to put either of these functions on separate buttons?

Unfortunately the M-Fn button is the only one that can have those two functions assigned to it, so you need to make a choice.

This is covered in the EOS R5 manual, if you look for the section heading Functions available for customization and specifically page 843 of the PDF I checked.
