EOS R100 - Photos getting less megapixels

Hello,

I shoot on 24mp canon eos r100, when i transfer files from my camera to mu phone which is a samsungs22 the photo is 2mp

Somebody knos why instead of 24mp its only 2mp when i transfer it ?

Here are the details for the Canon Connect App on Android.

Canon Camera Connect is an application to transfer images shot with compatible Canon cameras to smartphone/tablet.

By connecting to a camera with Wi-Fi (direct connection or via wireless router), this application provides the following features:
・Transfer and save camera images to a smartphone.
・Remote shoot with live view imaging of the camera from a smartphone.
・Connect with Canon's various services.

This application also provides the following features for compatible cameras.
・Acquire location information from a smartphone and add it to the images on the camera.
・Switch to a Wi-Fi connection from pairing status with a Bluetooth enabled camera (or from touch operation with an NFC enabled camera)

・Importing original RAW files is not supported (RAW files are resized to JPEG).

・AVCHD files shot with Camcorder cannot be saved.

-Important Notes

Also, 24 MP is the number of pixels in the sensor. If you save as a moderately compressed JPEG, it is easy to get a 2MB file.

Do you mean "mp" (presumably that refers to mega pixels) or "MB", meaning megabytes?

Megabytes has nothing to do with megapixels. Pixels are the colour squares that your picture is made of. Bytes measure the physical size of a file. While it's true that each pixel takes up some space in a file, so more pixels generally means more space, file compression means that there's no simple link between the two.

If you want to know how many pixels an image has, you will need to look for that info.

In Windows, you can look at a file's properties. On the "General" tab, the "Size" field tells you the physical size of the file -- that's your bytes (or megabytes). In the "Details" tab, you will see the Width and Height in pixels. Multiply those together to get the total number of pixels. Divide by a million for megapixels.
In Android (on my version of Android), in the Gallery app, open a picture, go to the menu (top-right dots button) and click "Info". The third item down shows the date and file name, and then the number of megapixels (MP) and the file sze in megabytes (MB).

I highlighted this in my intial reply.

・Importing original RAW files is not supported (RAW files are resized to JPEG).

RAW files are not transferred to Android using Canon Connect. The files are converted to JPEG and downsized.
