    <description>Check the Rode VideoMic series of microphones. These are very popular. They mount to the camera hot-shoe (the hot-shoe is only used to hold the mic to the camera... they don't use any of the electronic pins on the hot-shoe).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;There are a few variations on the VideoMic... you can get audio samples of how they each record.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am entering the world of video with my 5d MKIII. The intermal microphone is adequate, but I beieve an external one would be better.&amp;nbsp; I am looking for a genaral purpose one, that is relatively inexpensive.&amp;nbsp; Any suggestions?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
