Canon R5 keep camera on high speed continuous drive mode after turning off

I have camera on auto and have set the drive mode to 'high speed continuous +'. But after turning camera off and back on, the drive mode resets to 'single shooting'.

Anyway to maintain 'high speed continuous +' when in auto mode after turning camera off and back on?

Are you using an EF lens or RF lens this has an impact on it.

This setting turns off automatically when the camera is powered off, So what @Waddizzle has suggested is probably the best answer. It has to be activated when the camera is powered on.

Do the Custom Shooting Modes even accept Basic Shooting mode settings?

I do not believe the camera accepts a custom shooting mode from any Auto. However, you can reset the camera and select the Fv shooting mode. The Custom Shooting Mode definition menu should now be available to you.

Set Av, Tv, and ISO to “Auto”. Set your Drive Mode to what you want. Save the configuration to one of the Custom Shooting Modes with “Auto Update” disabled.

If I switch to the Fv mode, it seems exposure is not automatic anymore. Is there a way to have automatic exposure, Av, Tv, and ISO, and also 'high speed continuous +' frame rate?

I basically need the Scene Intelligent Auto mode + high frame rate.

I do not know what to say to that. The default setting for Fv mode is for Tv, Av, and ISO to all be set to AUTO. If you have not downloaded a copy of the manual, then you can download an electronic copy from here and save it for future reference.

This is the page begins describing Fv mode. All settings default to AUTO.
