You might want to switch the PTP/PC Communication setting in wrench 2.

But a card reader might be easier.

I downloaded my EOS Digital Solution Disk (Version 11.1) to my Windows 11 computer. Neither the Canon CameraWindow nor the Window's Camera detects the EOS Digital Rebel XT. There doesn't appear to be a new driver for the Rebel under Windows 11. When I turn on the camera switch, Device Manager refreshes its list like it recognizes a device change, but no new device is added.

I would appreciate any help/advice or workaround.

Thanks for the quick response to my query.

The communication options on my Rebel XT are: PC Connection and Print/PTP. The camera was initially set to Print/PTP, which worked for my Windows 10 computer. I tried both options, but neither allowed my Windows 11 computer to recognize the camera. Looking for an updated driver on the Canon support site, it stated that "There is no driver for the OS Version you selected. The driver may be included in your OS or you may not need a driver."

Any other suggestions?

Are you sure you have a good cable and not one of the charging-only abominations?
