What media cards are you using? Did you record to both cards? If so, does the corruption appear in the same image from both cards?

It does sound like an issue with the card. Though hopefully this was a rare issue.

You may want to start capturing to both cards. Depending upon what codec and resolution you need, that may not be possible to write to the slower SD card. Though if you don't have one, do look into UHS-II SD cards that are rated at V90 (90 MBps / 720 Mbps). The 300 MB/s value is a theoretical maximum read. The V-rating represents a sustained write speed; something crucial for video work.

Your second card can also have a different codec used perhaps. That would at least give you some sort of backup.

Thanks. I will try to do.

I hope one day in future firmware updates Canon will unlock recording to an external SSD drive, samsung T5-T7 etc. and remove 30 min ceiling for one shoot. It will help video guys like me.

Here's a list of compatible memory cards for the R5: https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/EOS-DSLR-Mirrorless-Cameras/Canon-R5-video-file-sizes-trouble-downloading/m-p/454304#M109712

There's nothing by "Delkin" there.

CF Express memory card speeds are a big problem. Because there is (essentially) no speed rating system for CF Express cards, you basically have to go with cards recommended by the manufacturer. The numbers printed on the cards are worthless. I made a video about this:

https://moonblink.info/MudLake/tech#Cards
