EOS RP all-purpose lens recommendation

My husband recently won a EOS RP mirrorless camera and I would like to get him a new lense for it. What would be a good all purpose lense. He did buy a 50mm for it.

What is your budget? When it comes electronics gifts, it frequently a good idea to either ask them what they want, or to simply turn the lucky person loose on a shopping spree?

Agreed. Best to get a gift card from an authorized Canon reseller. e.g. to name a couple, you can purchase gift cards at B&H Photo and Adorama. The gift cards can either be physically mailed or be avaiable almost immediately via e-mail.
