CANON 5D MARK IV + Godox V1 flash only fires in ETTL mode

Good day everyone,

I'm facing a problem with my CANON 5D MARK IV & Godox V1.

The flash is only firing in ETTL mode (both on camera and wireless) while in Manual mode is not working.

In camera flash settings: All is enabled and normal.

In Flash C.Fn settings --> flash metering mode --> Set to: E-TTL II (cannot be changed)

Any idea?

3rd Party speedlites don't work in live view only viewfinder mode.

Hello Demetrius,

Both modes live view and viewfinder mode aren't working with manual flash mode.

Although it used to work even in live view ( 5D mark iv + godox v1 + godox Xpro).

It sounds like your speedlite is incompatible with your camera. This problem has been brought up multiple times in this forum with Godox speedlites.
