5d mark iii resetting itself

Hi folks, I have a 5d mark iii that is resetting itself to ISO 800 shutter 1000 f7.1 anytime I turn the camera off or it goes to sleep. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Make sure you don't have the mode selector set to one of the user settings (C1 - C3). Any overrides that you set during a shooting session will be lost if you turn the camera off or it times out. The result is symptoms like those you report.

You are a genius. Thanks! The top of the selector knob fell off my camera so it's not super obvious what setting it's on
