Hi all, I wasn't able to find this searching the forum. Sadly, she took a drop onto the open SD cover door and now it won't power-on. Unless I'm getting bad info, it appears that replacing the door is extremely involved. Anyone have advice, or guestimates on the repair? It may be a write-off at this point.

Thank you so much,

London

Greetings,

I parted with my 6D2 on Thursday. It remains one of my all time favorites. She went to a good home. The gentleman who purchased her drove almost 100 miles each way.

This is not a repair you'll want to tackle. Visit My Canon, register the device and start a repair. You'll be given an estimate. You can decide if you want to go forward with the repair.

MyCanon

Sorry for the misfortune. Hope it works out.
