EOS-1D X Mark II Auto Focus Settings Vary Between Modes

Hi,

Am new to this forum but I have 2 issues with my Canon 1DX Mark II.

1.When I want it to auto focus on other modes M, AV, AF or P it doesn't auto focus I have to press AF On button to focus. But when I switch to P C1 mode, it does auto focus. I have gone through all the settings and none it working.

2. When I switch from one mode to another like from P to M, the settings default like beep sound will be enabled and I had disabled it earlier.

Now I don't know what is happening here with this camera. I have 1DX Mark I and never had any issues. Please help.

It sounds like you have moved the start autofocus function away from the shutter button. Check custom button functions in the menus and put them to default. You could also reset the camera functions and custom functions to factory defaults.
