Hello all, I just joined. This is my first post.

Please does anyone have a solution to the following 90D problem which has been bugging me for ages? :

When my Elgato Camlink 4k is plugged into the 90D's hdmi out, I find I cannot access the camera's settings. To change something using the camera menu, I'm obliged to first disconnect the Camlink's hdmi plug which is a royal pain. Is this normal? Is there a workaround? Thanks!

Yes, that behavior is normal for the 90D as well as many other camera bodies.

The camera has one set of electronics for creating video output signals. Under normal conditions they video signal is routed to the rear display. When an HDMI connector is inserted into the port, then the video signal gets re-routed to the HDMI port output, which leaves the rear display blank.
