I see no mention of Dual Pixel AF at all in the User Manual. Searched on both "dual" and "pixel" separately as well. Dual Pixel RAW is also not available.

I do not have this camera, but according to the specifications, it appears to me that it does dual pixel auto focus.

I do not see in the manual an option to save dual pixel raw files which is a different feature than dual pixel auto focus.

This page lists which cameras have which features: https://en.canon-cna.com/pro/infobank/which-camera-which-features/

https://snapshot.canon-asia.com/article/eng/canon-technology-explainer-what-is-dual-pixel-cmos-af

Canon Technology Explainer: What is Dual Pixel CMOS AF?

The answer to whether DPAF is used in the EOS RP was given by @shadowsports with a link to: https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART174841

The DPAF feature is active whether you configure the camera to save a RAW file or both RAW and JPEG. If you are still unconvinced, just configure your camera to save both. Dual Pixel CMOS AF is the only way this camera can focus. There is no other focus mechanism built into the camera.

Here is another explanation of Dual Pixel CMOS AF and how it works: https://snapshot.canon-asia.com/article/eng/canon-technology-explainer-what-is-dual-pixel-cmos-af

When loading the RAW file into the Canon Digital Photo Professional program, you are able to see a red box or boxes that show which points were in focus. You can use exiftool to list the coordinates of those focus points.

The manual for the EOS RP shows the file types that the camera may be configured to save on page 116-117. One may configure the camera to save RAW or CRAW, but not DPRAW. So, some of the data used by the Dual Pixel CMOS AF is not saved into the file. For most people, that data would not be of much use after the focusing is complete and the photo has been made.

The feature that is missing from the EOS RP is the ability to save a DPRAW file. I guess that eliminating this feature made a lower cost for the camera possible. In any case, that file would have been saved after the focus had been completed and saving or not saving does not change the focus mechanism.

All that you are missing by not having the DPRAW file is the ability to do some of the "tool based processing" in DPP.

The EOS R, being the more advanced model, boasts the same 30.3MP sensor found inside the EOS 5D mark IV, whereas the EOS RP inherits its 26.2MP sensor from the EOS 6D mark II. Only the EOS R offers Dual Pixel RAW shooting, which means that images shot with this mode enabled contain dualpixel information from the image sensor.
