topic EOS Rebel T3 Serial Number Worn Off in EOS DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras

Can someone tell me if there is another location other than the bottom of the camera to find the serial number. It is supposed to be on the bottom on that little silver tag but 4 numbers are worn off.

Am I the only one who thinks it doesn't make sense to put the serial number in a spot where it can get worn off?

The camera writes the S/N in the EXIF data for each image.

Anytime I purchase a similar product, I write the S/N, model # and other information in the owner's manual which also includes the warranty information.

John, will check on that. Old dog learns a new trick!
